A Win for the DHS Mock Trial Defense Team!

Earlier this week, the Dublin High School Mock Trial Defense Varsity Team secured a victory against Albany High School and Saint Mary's High School!

Members have worked extremely hard throughout the year to prepare for the competition, whether it be by memorizing witness statements, creating cross examinations, and practicing opening/closing statements! This was the first competition our varsity team has ever attended, and the fact that they pulled out 2 major victories is a huge accomplishment! There were many notable individual accomplishments as well, with Trial Attorney Jiya Modh receiving two award nominations for her cross examination and direct examination of witnesses and Mahima Palvai's award nomination for her exceptional portrayal of witness Dr. Parker Turner!

The Defense Team was able to secure 4/5 ballots in their competition rounds, adding a total of 10 points to the team's overall competition ranking. It will be exciting to see how the Dublin High Mock Trial team builds off their experiences this competition season to improve in future years!
